This is a majestic and diversified cycling holiday with the opportunity to visit three countries - Austria, Slovakia and Hungary - and the three capital cities - Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest.
The tour starts with the first night in the magical and lively city of Vienna. The cycling route is designed to run, in the main, on well-maintained cycle paths and begins with a ride to the health resort of Bad Deutsch Altenburg. From there the route follows the Danube cycle path to Bratislava. This quaint old city with its numerous cafes and lively pedestrian zone will invite you to linger.
However, it is back to the Danube cycle path for a while longer until you reach the Hungarian border. Within Hungary the highlights of the route include Györ, one of the important cities of the Hungarian lowlands with a glamorous, historical city centre; Tata with its lakes, located at the foot of the hill range “Gerecse”; Esztergom, also called the “Hungarian Rome”; and of course magnificent Budapest. The last day is spent enjoying Budapest until a bus takes you back to Vienna for the last night.
The tour can be extended by 1 day giving you the opportunity to stay in Bratislava. In which case the tour can only start on a Friday or Saturday
