Summary

What could be more pleasant than a cruise and cycle holiday along the Mosel and Saar rivers? These rivers wend their way through some of Germany's most beautiful countryside. Ancient castles guard the hilltops while down in the valley, pretty timbered houses line the market squares of the idyllic villages dotted along the route. Vineyards soak up the sun on gentle slopes leading down to the river and guests will have plenty of opportunity to learn more about the wine growing culture in this region.

Most of the path along the Mosel is paved or asphalted and does not have any gradients of note. This makes the trip suitable even for relatively unpractised cyclists. Non cycling partners are also welcome as it is possible stay on board and enjoy the cruise along the river without taking part in the daily rides.

Although classified as a self guided holiday, theres is a tour guide on board who is there to help guests get the most from their holiday. The guide knows the area well and will be only too happy to answer questions regarding the country, points of interest and local culture.
