In the days of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart travelling was exhausting, but nowadays things have changed. The “Mozart Bike Path” gives you the possibility to visit the places where this famous composer has spent his lifetime. You visit famous recreation areas such as the Chiemgau and the Salzburg- and Berchtesgardener region.

Starting from his birth town of Salzburg you will visit many places, where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart made stops during his journeys. The route leads you across Chiemsee to the Inn valley. From there you cycle through the Northern Tyrol and the "small German corner" back to the Mozart town of Salzburg. The route leads you partly through level, but also through hilly terrains. Between the Inn valley and the town of Salzburg you have to tackle a few gradients, but you can also enjoy the nice descents. Most of the time you ride on bike paths and side streets with not much traffic. A few short sections (max. 1-2 km) have to be cycled on busier streets.
