Summary

UNESCO listed Lake Ferto region is part of the Ferto-Hanság National Park and an important wild water habitat. This route starts in Hungary and takes you from the southern shore of the lake, up around the western side and onwards into Austria visiting the most important and interesting sights, villages, cities and nature parks around the lake. With visits to such cities as Sopron and Eisenstadt this tour gives a wonderful flavour of 2 different countries and cultures. Apart from the natural wonders, you will have opportunities to visit a number of historic and cultural sights including the former Eszterhazy Palaces. On top of this, the whole region is famous for it’s winemaking which you will just have to discover for yourself!

The Lake Ferto tour is a gentle ride on quiet roads around the lake. As such it is a great tour for families. Childrens bikes, trailers and tagalongs can be provided if required.
