Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival in Mureck

After you arrive at the hotel you will be met by our local representative, who will welcome you with a drink and discuss with you the details of the tour. ou will be given the tour information and your bikes which will be adjusted to fit.

Day 2:
Graz, 41 miles (65 km)

Take the train to Graz. The European Cultural Capital 2003 invites you to explore museums, architectural gems, as the Italian architects influenced the local style. Return to Mureck on the Mur cycle path via castle Seggau.

Day 3:
Wine tour to Gamlitz, 16 miles (25 km)

Morning transfer to the South Styrian wine street. Guided cellar tour, wine tasting and cold snack on the exquisite wine grower estate Polz (included). Then you explore by bicycle the wine street with well known wines such as Gamlitz and Ehrenhausen back to Mureck.

Day 4:
Visit the neighbours – Slovenia, 13 to 37 miles (20 to 60 km).

Cycling without barriers! The River Mur is the border to Slovenia and there you can stay for a day on lovely roads and beautiful countryside.

Day 5:
Thermal Spa Bad Radkersburg, 31 miles (50 km)

Follow river Mur to Bad Radkersburg. Regenerate in the warm thermal waters (entrance fee included!) and stroll through the historic city. Return to Mureck through river meadows on the Mur cycle path.

Day 6:
Pumpkins and churches in Straden, 13 to 31 miles (20 to 50 km)

In Straden a wine tasting and a guided tour through the wine cellar is included. Pumpkin seed oil – the dark-green gold of Styria – and fruit are Styria’s most famous exports. Nowhere else can this unsurpassed quality can be reached. You cycle past pumpkin fields, fruit orchards and many chapels on tranquil country lanes to an oil-mill where you can watch the process of pressing the seeds (entrance fee included!).

Day 7:
Departure from Murek

Time to make your way home or maybe some extra days in Graz
