National Parks of Dalmatia

Itinerary

Day 1 (Sat):
Arrive Trogir - Rogoznica, approx. 4-11 miles (7- 17 km)

Individual arrival, either by car to Trogir or by plane to Split. After checking in on the motor yacht at Trogir and a first lunch on board, our first cruise starts leading us to Rogoznica. In the afternoon we will start a round tour cycling along the wide bay; you may also visit the idyllic village in 150m of altitude.

Day 2 (Sun):
Rogoznica - Sibenik - Vodice, 9 miles (15 km)

In the morning you will cycle from Rogoznica to Primošten. Your motor yacht will then take you through a narrow passage to Šibenik. After visiting the famous cathedral and the picturesque old town, your ship will take off again and continue towards Vodice, where you stay the night

Day 3 (Mon):
Vodice - Murter - Telascica, 17 Miles (27 km)

In the morning you cycle from Vodice to the island of Murter, which is connected with the mainland by a lift bridge. You will meet the ship for dinner in a quiet romantic harbour. In the afternoon you go on a cruise through the national park of the Kornati islands, an archipelago of crystal clear waters known for its diverse flora and fauna. In the peaceful atmosphere of the Telašcica nature park you go for a walk along the impressive island cliffs.

Day 4 (Tue):
Island of Dugi Otok - Zadar, 22 miles (35 km)

Your bike tour begins in Telašcica Nature Park along a virtually traffic-free road. Then you cross the island on a panoramic road during which you will be treated to unforgetable views of the islands in the azure sea. You meet your ship again in the harbour of Savar and have lunch. Afterwards the ship takes you to Zadar, which, for centuries, was the political, cultural and spiritual centre of Dalmatia. Your tour guide will take you on an extensive walk through the lanes of the lively old centre. 3000 years of history have left their imprint on the character of this town and there are many things to be admired: the mighty fortified walls with their bastions, the loggia but also the early Romanesque St. Donatus basilica. Overnight in the harbour of Zadar.

Day 5 (Wed):
Pasman and Ugljan - Krka National Park, 22 miles (35 km)

During the breakfast the boat will cross over to the Island Ugljan situated in the channel of Zadar. Today we will have lots of cycling time to discover the two islands which are now connected by a bridge. Beautiful views of the sea and across to the mainland will be enjoyed while cycling along the east coast. Afterwards our boat will pass Sibenik and the lower course of the river Krka; we cruise along this winding river until we will reach Skradin.

Day 6 (Thu):
National Park of Krka – Island Zlarin, approx. 19 miles (31 km)

Today you explore the Krka National Park by bike. Through wooded valleys you ride to Lake Visovac. After a break for a well-earned swim you cycle back to Skradin through quiet villages. In the afternoon we start from here to visit the most famous part of the National park of Krka with its unique waterfalls. Later on you sail to the coral island of Zlarin. In the peaceful atmosphere of the island you spend a relaxing evening.

Day 7 (Fri):
Island of Solta, approx. 9 or 25 miles (15 or 40 km)

In the morning our motor yacht will take us to island Solta. Olive and fig trees and farmland surround the streets. The spicy smell of lavender and rosemary will follow us throughout the whole tour around this silent island until we reach the village of Grohote. Starting around mid day our last cruise will take us back to Trogir. Here we will have enough time to visit the world cultural heritage and medieval old town. After dinner it is time to say good-bye to crew and travel guides.
