Arrive at St Malo and, if you have time, take a look at its superb old citadelle. Within the old city walls you will find a busy, lively and very characterful town, packed with hotels, restaurants, bars and shops.
After visiting the old town, surrounded by walls built centuries ago, you will leave St Malo on a journey that lets you discover the River Rance Valley and leads you inland to the Medieval City of Dinan.
Leaving Dinan you will cycle past fields and farmland heading east until you discover Combourg with its impressive feudal castle.
This is a beautiful stage of the tour right in the heart of Brittany with numerous vestiges of the mysterious local civilization famous for worshipping stone. A kingdom of legends, beliefs and traditions. Your overnight stop is the town of Fougères.
Leaving Fougères behind you following the Couesnon Valley you will arrive at Pontorson, a peaceful village on the way to “Mont Saint Michel”.
The route today is devoted to the discovery of the wonder of “Mont Saint Michel”, followed by a ride through the countryside and along the sea side with oyster parks as far as Le Vivier sur Mer.
Cycling along beaches of fine sand and the wild coastline through the picturesque fishing harbour of Cancale, the windswept Pointe du Grouin and to St Malo, the "City of the Sea".
After breakfast it is time to depart and make your way home or you may like to book an extra night in St Malo.
(Please note - this tour may be started in Fougères as opposed to St Malo on any Monday, Thursday or Saturday)
