Itinerary
Day 1 (Sunday):
Arrive in Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol region, with its famous golden roof (Golden Dachl).
Day 2 (Monday):
You will have magnificent views of the Northern Alps as you cycle to Wattens with the historic Münzerturm (Mint Tower) You can visit the enchanting Swarovski Crystal Worlds here. Along the Inn cycle path, past Schwaz with a silver mine museum, to the “Radlerdorf Strass” (cyclist village Strass) at the entrance to the Ziller Valley. 30 miles.
Day 3 (Tuesday):
From Strass you can take an excursion into the Ziller Valley with its 3000m plus high mountain giants, to Mayrhofen. Visit to a glacier with the cable railway possible. Alternatively stay in Strass to go walking or swimming. 0 or 37 miles.
Day 4 (Wednesday):
A short ride to Jenbachthen a ride on the world's oldest steam rack railway - connecting Jenbach with the Achensee lake. Follow the cycle path directly on the lake shore to the impressive Sylvenstein Lake. The Isar accompanies you through charming landscapes to Bad Tölz. The richly ornamented middle class houses are evidence of the golden age. 34 miles
Day 5 (Thursday):
Through the charming landscape of Lake Tegern to Gmund am Tegernsee with a wonderful panorama of the lake. Along the Gaißbach Valley back again to Bad Tölz. The thermal springs of the famous spa “Alpamare” will revive your tired muscles. 0 or 25 miles.
Day 6 (Friday):
The Isar cycle path takes you through Geretsried and Wolfratshausen to Grünwald. You have a few short climbs before reaching the Bavarian capital Munich with its numerous places of interest.
