Itinerary

Day 1:

You will be met at the airport and transferred to Český Krumlov with its warren of narrow, crooked streets, built around an S-bend of the Vltava River.

Day 2:

The first day begins with a visit to Cesky Krumlov Castle You then follow the river to Ceske Budejovice, famous for its beer and Renaissance square. Finally to Hluboka for the night. 26miles.

Day 3:

A visit to the hilltop castle called Small Windsor is recommended before leaving Hluboka. Today you will pass through Tyn and on towards Pisek Mountain, a National Park. The day ends in Pisek, a romantic town above Otava River boasting the oldest stone bridge in the country. 34 miles.

Day 4:

Through forest paths and picturesque villages, you will come to where the Vltava and Otava rivers converge at Zvikov. The majestic ruin of Zvikov Castle on the top of the hill can be seen reflected in the water. A visit to the ruin is well worthwhile. 28 miles.

Day 5:

Leaving Zvikovske Podhradi you will come to Orlik Castle, founded in the 13th century by King Wenceslas II. Passing the remarkable Zdakovsky Bridge, the route continues into Central Bohemia to Pribram, an old mining town whose main attraction is the Saint Mountain, the most important and oldest pilgrims' place in the Czech Republic. 31 miles.

Day 6:

Leaving Pribram, you will enjoy some undulating and forested countryside in an area that is part of the beautiful Brdy Mountains before arriving at the village of Karlstejn. 29 miles.

Day 7:

Today is an easy route that leads you alongside the Rivers Berounka and the Vltava into Prague, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Attractions to visit include Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town, Lesser Town Bridge Towers. 20 miles

Day 8:

Checkout from your hotel after breakfast and you will be transferred to the airport.
