Arrival in Cagliari and transfer to Barumini, a small town towards the centre, famous for the most well-known nuraghe of the island. Welcome meeting.
Day 2:
Today you visit the majestic fortress of Barumini and the plateau of Giara di Gesturi from where you can enjoy the landscape of this area of central Sardinia. After a slight climb, you arrive in Laconi where you can visit the museum of the Menhirs, the park and the ruins of the castle that belonged to the marquis of Aymerich. Overnight in Laconi. 31 miles

Leaving Laconi and after some kilometres uphill, you arrive at the passes of Ortuabis and Sa Casa. Then the track will be downhill all the way to Seui, a small town in the Ogliastra region along the side of a mountain. 34 miles
Day 4:
This is maybe the most demanding day. From Seui you’ll pass the natural oasis of Montarbiu and the lunar landscapes of the Valley of Taquisara until you reach Jerzu, a town renowned for its excellent Cannonau wine. 28 miles
Day 5:
Finally the sea! From Jerzu, in the heart of Ogliastra, you’ll reach Ballao where you’ll be transferred to Costarei, a beautiful seaside resort on the island’s southeast coast.
33 miles
Day 6:
A rest day after the climbing of the previous days. The sea is just a few metres from the hotel. Or visit the beautiful beaches and places near Costarei. 0 or 22 miles
Day 7:
Following the coast from Costarei to Villasimius you cannot miss a visit to the inlets of Cala Sinzias and Cala Pira. On reaching Villasimius you’ll find the beach close to the hotel or you can visit the fascinating beach of Porto Giunco. 19 miles
