Summary

One name, one symbol. "Zugspitze" - the highest mountain in Germany at 2,964 metres - is one of the best known summits of the Alps and the sumit can be quite easily reached by cog railway. That is why we choose to walk around the Zugspitze massive, viewing it from different angles and exploring beautiful hiking territory.

Adventurous and sensational crossing of gorges, thundering waters leaving unforgettable impressions. Idyllic alpine pastures and traditional “Brotzeit” the repast to sustain yourself during the hike are inseparable aspects of this hiking tour.

On both sides of Wetterstein Massif you stay in pretty places for tranquil nights. Let’s go!

Character

Varied walking tour, requiring good basic stamina. You walk on well kept hiking paths and partly on forest roads. Any considerable changes in altitude are covered by transfers or cable car. Daily walking times of max. 5 comfortable hours. As far as possible each day a more challenging option is also offered, reaching into higher mountain territory.
