Summary

The Julian Alps are in the northwest of Slovenia and the start point of Kranjska Gora is about 5 minutes drive from the Italian and Austrian border. This holiday is for those who love alpine scenery, waterfalls, forests and lakes. Famous Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj are visited, as well as the Mt. Tiglav National Park.

This is a collection of easy valley floor and forest covered hillsides walks. Though in an Alpine area, no climbing experience or equipment is necessary. Most of the well known Slovenian Alpine towns and villages are visited; more than half of the walks are within the central area of the Slovene national park.
