Itinerary

Day 1 (Sunday):

Arrive in Rovinj for your welcome and tour introduction.

Day 2 (Monday):

Your day starts with a boat trip on the Lim Channel. From there you walk up to a small church with a wonderful view of the whole course of the channel, to the sea and over to Vrsar. Walk past small settlements, lovingly decorated with flowers, along an old railway track from Kanfanar back to Rovinj. Discover vineyards, wild juniper and fertile fields walled in by drystone walls. 13 miles.

Day 3 (Tuesday):

Take your swimsuits with you today, as you will walk along the seashore. Slightly hilly, offering many possibilities for a swim, through olive groves and little, shady woods. Small inns along the way are waiting for you. Relax with a glass of Malvazia (Istrian white wine) on the terrace of Konoba, listening to the sounds of the night. Lako noce – Croatian for Good Night! 11 miles.

Day 4 (Wednesday):

After breakfast you start the day walking along the seashore to Fazana, a small fishing village between Vdnjan and Pula. You will see many small plots of land growing vines, olives, tomatoes and vegetables. Not to forget the plums used for the local schnapps Sliwowitz. On your way you will visit Peroj, a typical Istrian village with idyllic houses made from karst stones. 9 miles.

Day 5 (Thursday):

Today, starting at Fazana, you join a guided tour of Brijuni National Park consisting of 14 islands. About 700 different flowers, local brush and trees (laurel, rosemary, olives, pine trees, cedars, eucalyptus and bamboo) grow here. The tour takes 3 to 4 hours including boat trip. 4 miles.

Day 6 (Friday):

On your walk today you will follow the route taken by the Romans to Pula the largest city of Istria and a lively cultural, economical and – unofficially – political centre of the peninsula. Pula combines an extensive harbour, suburban quarters, museums, theatres, libraries and an extensive old town centre with points of interest from many eras. 12 miles.

Day 7 (Saturday):

Departure after breakfast. Transfer to Rovinj by taxi or Trieste by bus
