Wind your way through carefully tended vineyards and undulating countryside that’s home to some of the world’s most expensive grapes on the Champagne Trail. As the tour progresses, you'll get used to descending into chalk pit cellars and hearing the pop and tinkle of sparkling Champagne being poured. As you ride through green landscapes dotted with medieval churches, look out for beautiful castles and unassuming Champagne houses. The cycling is quite leisurely but if you need an extra boost between cellar tours, choose an electric bike.

Tour through the green slopes of the Marne Valley and look out for deer and wild boar in the Montagne de Reims Natural Park. Stop off to sample local Champagne in understated villages and visit the glamorous town of Epernay, home to more than 200 million bottles of Champagne. The city of Reims makes an impressive start and finish point, spending some time exploring the medieval streets and seeing the Gothic cathedral’s stained glass window is well worth it.
