Having upgraded to a central Bruges hotel, this short tour was pretty perfect. It was lovely to cycle out of Bruges everyday and enjoy the local landscapes, particularly the tree-lined canals, then enjoy Bruges in the evening when much of the crowds had disappeared. Bruges itself is stunning and around every corner is another attractive street. Climbing the bell tower and taking a boat ride are a must. The nearby town of Damme is also exceedingly attractive. This was a break of a few days but it felt like we had been away a weekSarah Barrass, UK, August 2018
Overall our 4 day Freedom Treks holiday was fantastic. We chose to stay at the hotel a little outside of Bruges as it was a little cheaper. And we could not be happier with our choice. The hotel was convenient to the bike routes, it was extremely easy to get in and out of Bruges on our bikes. The accommodations, food and hotel staff were excellent. The bike routes took us through some beautiful areas and gave us a true taste of cycling the paths in Belgium. I would suggest that for anyone doing this, if you are not familiar with how the bike route system works, that you research it a bit before you go. Although we had fun on our first day, we spent a good part of it lost. Pretty places to be lost though.Wendy Seemel, Canada, June 2018
