The archipelago that surrounds Stockholm is the second largest in the Baltic Sea and is home to a stunningly beautiful coastline, quiet forests and attractive little villages. In June 2017, I cycled the route with my partner and our son and enjoyed a wonderful five-day break hopping between islands.
September and October are possibly our favourite months of the year for a cycling holiday. Routes are beginning to get less busy after the summer rush, temperatures are more comfortable and attractions are quieter than in the middle of summer.
