South-east Sicily is dominated by beautiful Baroque towns, green rolling hills and deep canyons carved by fast flowing rivers. Cycle along quiet roads and leisurely paths stopping off for a creamy gelato or cappuccino and a slice of almond cake along the way.

A region of astounding natural beauty, you’ll cycle past vast orange and lemon plantations, the gentle green slopes of the Iblei Mountains and the dramatic gorges and rock caves of the Anapo Valley. Experience four of the region’s UNESCO-listed baroque towns, with the unique layout of Noto and the ancient sites at Ragusa two of the most appealing. Wildlife fans should add an extra night in Noto to enjoy the protected white sands and lagoons at Vendicari Nature Reserve, home to pink flamingos, pintails and storks.
