Start in the beautiful city of Stockholm with its colourful architecture and unique history, before discovering tranquil nature reserves, evergreen forests and charming Swedish villages on this family-orientated tour. The cycling on this route is on quiet roads and forest tracks, which are undulating in parts, making this tour suitable for children 11 years and above with cycling experience.

Stop along the way for relaxing picnics or a swim in the clear Baltic waters or many beautiful lakes. Alternatively, opt for a different view of the endless lakes from a canoe! Throughout the tour, there are chances to visit a 400-year-old castle, historic manor houses and explore small, pretty towns with winding, narrow streets and wooden houses. Sailing back from Mariefred to Stockholm across Lake Malaren on a steamer built in 1903 is a perfect end to this unique and beautiful tour.

If you are looking for a version of this tour with longer rides, please see our Land of Lakes & Castles tour.
