Experience the best Thailand has to offer, seeing the countryside, rivers and islands by bike and boat. A morning transfer from Bangkok whisks you away from the city to Kanchanaburi and the River Kwai where you’ll spend three enchanting nights aboard a luxurious colonial-style river cruiser. The daily rides take you through gentle hills and countryside with visits to historical sites from World War II and ruins of temples dating back to the era of the Khmer Empire.

The second stage of the tour begins after a short internal flight to Koh Yao Noi Island where you will stay at an idyllic beachfront resort. The scenic ride around the island takes you back in time, passing quiet beaches and tiny hamlets giving you a taste of Thailand before tourism. The last day on Koh Yao Noi is yours to relax on the beach or by the saltwater pool in the shade of the swaying palm trees. Or, you can fill your time with treks through the jungle, snorkelling in Phang Nga Bay, a fishing trip or a Thai cooking course.

Riding on quiet roads with low daily distances and gentle undulations, the cycling is rated as easy to moderate and approachable for most cyclists. It’s also a great option for non-cyclists as you’re welcome to remain on board the boat, relaxing and watching the scenery float by. There are also plenty of other activities and visits in the itinerary which don’t involve cycling.

As an optional pre-tour extension, why not arrive early to spend two extra nights in Bangkok. Take an exhilirating guided ride through the night markets and temples on day one, then a tour of the backstreets and waterways by canal boat and bike on day two. On the third morning, you'll be collected from your 4* city centre hotel to join the transfer to Kanchanaburi. (Includes 2 breakfasts, a lunch and a dinner)
