Circumnavigate one of Europe’s largest freshwater lakes, starting and finishing in the German city of Constance and following the sparkling shoreline through Austria and Switzerland. A well-signposted, car-free cycle path makes this an easy tour whatever your ability and you can take the day at a leisurely pace, resting your legs during short ferry rides.
Touring through green landscapes with a backdrop of the snow-capped Alps, you’ll stop off in enchanting towns and lakeside resorts, each with unique appeal – the medieval town of Stein am Rhein, the castle of Kirchberg and the Swiss harbour of Romanshorn are some of the best bits. The wooden slopes and nature reserves of the Höri Peninsula have inspired artists and writers for centuries.

Take the train (Bahn) from Constance and fly from either Zurich or Friedrichshafen.
Your days will involve gentle riding, mainly on flat terrain and with minimal effort required. Easy cycling holidays are suitable for most people whether you are a regular cyclist or not, however we recommend at least a few practice rides before your holiday!
