Cycle along the Baltic coast from the UNESCO city of Lubeck to Stralsund's Gothic turrets. As you tour past forested hills, chalky cliffs and glistening sands, nature fans are in for a treat, with cranes and grey geese in protected national parks. The cycling is undemanding but if you’d like an extra boost choose an electric bike. Riding between sandy coastal resorts and pretty villages, you’ll have plenty of time to experience the Baltic’s harbour-side restaurants, stroll along wooden piers and explore historic towns.

The cobbled streets of Wismar are a highlight and the Fischland Peninsula’s primeval forests, wild beaches and fishing villages make the second half of this tour truly unforgettable – look forward to relaxing on white sands and walking barefoot on the beach.
