Overview
What to expect
Cycle along the Baltic coast from the UNESCO city of Lubeck to Stralsund's Gothic turrets. As you tour past forested hills, chalky cliffs and glistening sands, nature fans are in for a treat, with cranes and grey geese in protected national parks. The cycling is undemanding but if you’d like an extra boost choose an electric bike. Riding between sandy coastal resorts and pretty villages, you’ll have plenty of time to experience the Baltic’s harbour-side restaurants, stroll along wooden piers and explore historic towns.
The cobbled streets of Wismar are a highlight and the Fischland Peninsula’s primeval forests, wild beaches and fishing villages make the second half of this tour truly unforgettable – look forward to relaxing on white sands and walking bare foot on the beach.

Excellent in every way.
Peter Banks, Australia, July 2018This is a really interesting, varied tour. Despite being mostly coastal you'll encounter differing scenery every day and a range of surfaces too with some wonderful cycle paths. Each stop is worth exploring and the accommodation and hospitality top notch. We were lucky with the weather - mid 20's in May - although we had a constant N/NE breeze in our faces. I can imagine in other conditions it could be tougher. Whilst mostly flat, easy to moderate is a good description - we certainly felt a sense of achievement at the end together with a desire to go back one day and explore some more!
