This wonderful short break cycling tour of southern Italy’s Puglia region starts and finishes in the beautiful baroque town of Lecce. Follow the Ionian coastline towards Gallipoli, with its stunning old town, which is located on a limestone island. Ride on to Santa Maria di Leuca, the most southerly point of Italy's heel, where the Ionian meets the Adriatic Sea, before continuing up the southeast coast to Otranto with its impressive castle and cathedral. Your final ride takes you past olive groves and beaches back to Lecce.
This loop tour includes a balanced mix of sightseeing in authentic towns and cycling with rides averaging 31 miles (50km) on beautiful coastal roads. You're free to cycle at your own pace, but we recommend setting off a little earlier to allow time for refreshing swims and to have time to take in the best of your overnight destinations.

Pannier, handlebar bag with with phone pocket and lock all included at no extra cost when you hire a bike. The bikes are also equipped with puncture-resistant Schwalbe tyres. One repair kit per room is provided and includes a spare inner tube, glue, patch, pump, allen keys and tyre levers.

Some days will be flat, other days will have some modest hills. Easy to Moderate cycling holidays are suitable for most ages and degrees of fitness. We recommend that you have some previous cycling experience.
