Amsterdam to Bruges Bike Tour

VISITING: The Netherlands, Belgium

Why we love this tour

"Cycling is a way of life in the Netherlands, the norm and an everyday activity. This, combined with the extensive network of cycle paths across the country, makes this tour a dream for a week of leisurely cycling. A real highlight of the tour is pedalling past 19 spectacular windmills in the UNESCO World Heritage site at Kinderdijk."

Enjoy a wonderful week of cycling in Holland as you make your way south from the Netherlands capital Amsterdam towards Bruges in Belgium. Your rides will be at an easy pace on some of the world’s best cycle paths, and you’ll pass tree-lined canals, open meadows and other beautiful rural scenes. Look forward to the collection of windmills at the Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage site, the wetland landscapes of Biesbosch National Park and the islands of Zeeland.

Along the way, you’ll ride between lovely towns with lots of charm and history to enjoy. Your accommodation will be in a selection of carefully chosen hotels that are close to the cycle routes. We’d recommend getting to Amsterdam early to visit its collection of museums, wander its cosy streets and enjoy some waffles or a beer! Extending your stay in Bruges gives more time to appreciate the city’s picturesque cobbled lanes, medieval squares and tempting cafés.

It is also possible to do this tour in reverse, starting in Bruges and ending in Amsterdam. If you are looking for something a bit different, take a look at our popular Amsterdam to Bruges by Boat & Bike tour.
