Cycling History
I have always remembered being on a bike since being a child, my mum used to force me out the house on these crazy adventures everywhere from the South Downs to the Fynbos of South Africa! I’ve always thought that travelling by bicycle combines the best of being able to see new places at your own pace whilst also giving me the sporting kick that I love.
Best Country to Cycle In
I love the UK for cycling! I think we can underestimate what we have around us with some outstanding off-road routes, whether that’s along the Cornish Coast or in the Highlands of Scotland.
Next Tour
I’d love to enjoy some year-round sunshine on our Lanzarote Bike Tour - Land of the Volcanoes, cycling between awesome locations in a landscape more similar to the moon, with its towering volcanoes and golden beaches, than Hove. Plus, have I mentioned geysers, these hot springs intermittently erupt, a true natural wonder of the world if you ask me!
Best Cycling Memory
Definitely the trip I did by myself from Brussels to Amsterdam back in 2022, the quality and ease of the cycle paths across Flanders and the Netherlands made for a real smooth journey! I made so many great memories across the days, as well as a fair few aches, so I am certainly looking forward to the luxury of having luggage transfers on my next journey!
Interesting Fact
I have surfed in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa with the guy who jumped over Palace pier in Brighton whilst kite surfing.
Top Travel Tip
Always be open to meeting new people and embrace the unexpected, some of my favourite friends are people I have met travelling and starting with conversations about the most random of subjects.
