Tour Between the Sparkling Freshwater Lakes of Southern Bavaria
Ride along an amazing network of well-connected cycle paths through extraordinary scenery in rural Germany. From valley floors you’ll be looking up at the Bavarian Alps on routes that are undemanding and easy to follow. Although starting and finishing in Munich, this tour has an off the beaten track feel, as you pedal through green forests, marshlands and alpine foothills, stopping in lakeside market towns and traditional Bavarian villages.

Freedom Trekkers say: "We have travelled extensively around the world and this trip was in our top 5. The Germans sure are the experts in bike paths with hardly any paths being shared with cars. The paths meander from town to town, village to village through forest and agricultural fields, mostly set with a backdrop of the magnificent Bavarian Alps. Exquisite! The old towns/villages were charming as it gets, keeping with the true tradition of Bavarian architecture. Beautiful lakes and azure rivers were another special part of our ride and hardly any other people until we arrived in Munich. We enjoyed our rooms that were mostly with views and even a four star really upscale hotel in Munich at the end of the trip. The bikes were like new with great brakes and very comfortable. The trip overall was not demanding and actually very relaxing." - Benita Luke, USA

Freedom Trekkers say: "Our self guided tour went well and we really enjoyed Slovenia. The touring bikes provided were robust and sufficiently geared to get us around the route without difficulty. The countryside is just amazing with beautiful views everywhere you look. The route was mostly on very quiet roads or deducted cycle ways and took us through some lovely countryside villages. The accommodation was all very good and welcoming and our bags were always waiting our arrival - overall enhanced our experience of Slovenia. They were all spotlessly clean and very quiet at night. We also managed to crown most of our touring days with a nice cooling swim in a lake or pool. - Chris Kilpatrick, UK
